Hello, I’m Michaela Jameson – founder of The Jameson Way and a passionate advocate for inclusive, engaging, and child-centred education.
My journey working with children began over a decade ago as a swimming instructor and lifeguard at Woggle Goggle in Penrith, where I spent over 10 years helping children build confidence in the water. That same love for working with young people led me to pursue a career in education.
After graduating from Edge Hill University with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in English and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), I returned home to Cumbria where I taught in local schools for six years. During this time, I worked across all primary key stages, supporting children aged 4–11. I developed a particular passion for inclusive education, working closely with children with a wide range of learning, emotional, behavioural, and medical needs.
I believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and inspired. That’s why The Jameson Way is built on a foundation of play-based, hands-on learning, tailored to each child’s individual strengths, needs, and interests. My approach focuses on nurturing confidence and curiosity – whether that’s through tutoring core subjects, supporting SEND learners, or delivering themed educational days for home-schooled children.
One of the most meaningful moments of my teaching career was being nominated and shortlisted for the Cumbrian Children in Care Council’s ‘Inspirational Worker of the Year’ award, in recognition of my work supporting children in care. It was an incredible honour and reinforced my belief in the importance of providing consistent, compassionate, and high-quality support for every child.
Before leaving the classroom to launch The Jameson Way, I completed the National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching (NPQLT), further strengthening my knowledge of best teaching practices and leadership in learning.
Creating a supportive, safe, and positive learning experience is at the heart of everything I do. I can’t wait to help your child unlock their full potential – one lesson at a time.
Warmly,
Michaela Jameson
